Both formal and non-formal group come together with an aim of meeting a certain objective at the end of the day as their similarity (Marsick& Watkins 2015).The differences between the formal and non-formal groups in an organization. In formal group the members are govern by set rules which are written and strictly followed, while in informal group there are no set rules that are written to the members to follow. The role of diversity in groups when it comes to organization is that it brings people together and incorporated different ideas from different people (Hentschel, Shemla, Wegge & Kearney, 2013). The main advantage of high diverse group is increased creativity. When two different people are brought together from different culture they will come up with something unique at the end of the goal. The disadvantage that comes with high diverse group is language barrier in communication. Language vary from different people in non-related countries. Lastly is the role of culture in contribution to success in a work group. Culture is very essential when it comes to groups, as every individual comes from different culture and taught different principles (Pieterse, Knippenberg & Dierendonck, 2013).
In conclusion according to research both types of groups are very important as they all play important role in the society of building themselves, as well as building other people, when it comes to the growth of the country. It is well visible that culture plays a very important role when it comes to team work among members.
